Natural History Museum

Grandpa had the day off work Monday for President’s Day (Happy 200th, Abraham Lincoln!) so we headed down to the Natural History Museum. The place was packed with families and strollers. I didn’t get a whole lot of photos because I was too busy trying to keep tabs on the kids.

We saw the dinosaurs, the big elephant, and the Ocean life exhibit. Then we headed up to the butterfly exhibit. Matthew and I went in together.

There were butterflies all over the place. One tried to land on Matthew, but it freaked him out a little bit.

He enjoyed looking at the chart to identify the butterflies.

No idea what this one is called.

Checking on the butterflies, from a safe distance.

After lunch we headed to the Hall of Mammals. David had a blast running back on forth on TVs in the floor that had pictures of grass and rain puddles.

He fell asleep about 5 minutes after we got him back in the stroller. Matthew was too excited by the subway ride home to settle down. He fell asleep in the car.

February 17, 2009. the boys, trips.
