Honorary Star Pony

The plan was for our sitter, Danielle, to take David with her and join Matthew’s class for chapel and music. The complication was the inch of snow that caused school to be delayed two hours. But this seemed OK. She could take both boys to school, go to chapel and music, then play with David for a bit, and bring them both home.

Except that there IS not chapel and music when school is delayed.

Thankfully, David (and Danielle) were invited to spend the day with the Star Pony class. From all accounts, he did well. Matthew said he liked it but “his hands got cold.” See, I didn’t pack gloves and a hat because I didn’t think he’d be going outside for recess.

It turned out OK in the end. Matthew had a good day, David had a good day, Danielle had a good day, and Mommy had a good day.

So I’m just going to ignore the big scab on his forehead.

January 9, 2010. David, Matthew, the boys.
