Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We made shamrock hand-prints last week.

This seemed like a fun and easy activity. I don’t know why I believe that when I read directions. Crafts with directions are about as much fun as a root canal in our house. But we persevered.

Matthew let me trace his hands. Mostly. And then he colored and painted over them with green.

David flatly refused to having anything to do with hand tracing. Uh-uh. No way. Not even for a cookie. So I let him paint his whole paper and then I traced some hearts over top.

Once Matthew was at school, I cut out the hand prints and hearts and glued the shamrocks to paper.

Just as an aside, Matthew got his first tooth on St. Patrick’s day, 4 years ago. And no, we won’t be eating corned beef and cabbage tonight because a) Daddy is out of town and b) no one likes it anyway.
