Fishing with Yeye

No trip to Delaware is complete without fishing. Matthew dragged Yeye down in the afternoon to see what they could catch. Since it was hot and late in the day, there weren’t any worms to catch for bait. The guys used corn instead.

Corn is not very good bait.

Grandma and Yeye’s friends Liz and Larry came to watch.

Matthew did not let himself get disappointed. He casted time and time again, even though the fish could eat the corn off the hook without even tugging the line.

Persistence paid off! He caught ONE fish,

which David Would Not Touch.

We threw it back and tried some more, but eventually we packed it in and headed home to ride bikes and play until dinner.
