Our Beach Weekend

We took advantage of the long weekend and headed to Delaware. We were treated to beautiful weather the whole time. On Sunday morning, we headed to the beach. This time, we went to the bay side, since some kind of biathlon was in progress near the ocean side turn.

We were having a little sun-in-the-eyes issue in this shot.

Look at the clear blue sky. It was such a beautiful day!

David was unsure at first if he would walk in the sand. Then he stepped on a burr and needed a little cuddle time.

(Like the pile of horse shoe crabs? Matthew collected every single one he could fine.) Later, David decided it was safe to play in the sand. He brought about half the beach home in his pants.

We also brought back 3 of the horse shoe crabs. They were used to decorate a tree at Grandma and Yeye’s house.

While we were watching, the ferry to Cape May, NJ, left port.

We also got to see some guys fishing. After our trip to the beach, we walked around down town Lewes. It was just too nice a day to stay indoors.

Donna was born in Lewes. Because of that, I think it’s one of the nicest places in the world. I’m glad you liked it, too.
