Of Santa and Haircuts

We went to meet Santa Claus on Monday after school. The boys were very excited. They practiced what they were going to ask for and what they would tell him. After a brief wait in line, they headed over to sit on his lap. David gave Santa one look and grabbed onto my leg with both hands. Matthew had already started yakking away. I got both of them onto the lap, stepped back for the picture and – oh joy! They looked! They smiled! And no one cried! If I were a clever mommy blogger, I would scan the picture and post it, but alas. I am not.

After Santa we got haircuts for the boys. And then, to round out our trip to the mall, we had lunch at Chick-fil-A.

I tried to get a picture of the boys in front of one of the fountains decorated with Christmas trees, but it was hard to get David to keep his hand out of the cascading water.

It was even harder to get Matthew to stop shrieking, “Ewwww! His hand is All Wet!”

Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!
