MLK Day

Today is the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. On Friday, Matthew’s class learned about Dr. King (who Matthew insists was called LM. I’ve tried, but I may have to let that one go until next year) and brought home a weekend project.

We had to cut out a dove and write a sentence with our wish for 2011.

Matthew finally settled on wishing that no one would be hungry. He decorated with glitter glue and cut using his fancy scissors.

Note the chocolate smear in the corner of his mouth from the M&Ms he sneaked this morning.

Not exactly how we would like him to embrace the “no one goes hungry in 2011” wish.
