Potato Harvest

We went to the potato harvest a few weeks ago and got a basket full of potatoes. The boys were very excited by the idea of digging them up, but the farmers had turned the field so all we had to do was pick them up.

David was very disappointed.

We got some big ones, and some comically small ones.


The experts say that when children participate in growing, harvesting, and cooking their food, they are more likely to eat it.

The experts, as usual, were wrong.

No one would touch their newly harvested, very delicious potatoes. Now, if I had turned them into french fries, maybe…
